At distances 40km and over, Crest recommends an outdoor digital TV antenna installation.

In some cases, a signal may be received using the High Performance Antenna (SGA05317) but this cannot be guaranteed.

The TV signal transmitted using a digital system is a ‘line of sight’ signal. This means that the clearest, least obstructed view between your antenna and the nearest TV transmission tower will give the best signal reception outcome. The further you are away from the TV transmission tower and the more obstacles the signal encounters, the weaker the signal becomes. While digital TV signals can pass through walls and other solid surfaces, the more obstructions the signal encounters, the weaker the overall signal and the result is signal disruption.
